Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is an increasingly common Sexually Transmitted Infection, which is highly transmissible but also easily preventable. Using a condom decreases your risk of contracting gonorrhea, but doesn’t entirely eliminate the risk.
Regular screening is crucial to appropriate treatment of gonorrhea.

Sleep Disturbances during menopause can cause a variety of issues, including brain fog, fatigue, irritability, and weight gain. What’s worse, is that menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats can cause sleep disturbances. Certified Nurse Midwives are able to provide a variety of services to their clients. Candescent Health and Wellness has chosen to focus our services on Wellbody care, sexuality counseling, menopause management and GYN related concerns.

Trauma Informed Care
Trauma informed medical care recognizes that everyone has the possibility of having endured trauma, and that as healthcare providers, we are responsible to first, inflict no further trauma and second, guide our patients through healing from their trauma. Candescent Health and Wellness has multiple measures in place to help assist our patients in healing from and moving toward coping with their past trauma.
Cervical Cancer
January is Cervical Cancer awareness month. Cervical cancer is able to be detected with regular tests called Pap Tests or Pap smears. Use of condoms can decrease the risk of cervical cancer.

This event is appropriate for all adolescents ages 9-14, the adults who are raising them, and anyone who works with adolescents in that age range.
